August at the Whataburger

It was a hot August night at the Whataburger. It did not rain, however, and as a result we had a good turnout. The prize for the smallest bike has to go to Gene Burrell and his 50cc Italjet seen here parked in front of Joe Green's Cushman Eagle. The prize for newest "old bike" goes to Thomas Krieg on his newly restored Triumph 500. Behind Thomas' Triumph is Maurice Turgeau's CB 400 Four and Fletch Bowling's new Honda CBR 600. The prize for the most broke bike has to go to Mike Thomason's Jawa which just was not in a running mood. Here you can Mike him tapping power from the menu board trying to charge a very flat battery. Notice the sweat on Mikes back (did I mention it was hot?). Cullen Duke brought his newly painted BMW R bike which looked really good. Greg DeFleron showed up on a really clean BMW K bike which he said he found on eBay. The prize for the "still not dry" paint went to Randall Baughman who brought his newly painted Yamaha RD 350. Carlos Forte's Triumph Bonneville can be seen in the background. Jim Downey rode his BMW R50/2 and behind it is Alex Forte's R75/5. Finally, Danny Weemes showed up on a really clean Yamaha x650 . Great find Danny!
